Presenting the Amadeus Consort : A
group of chamber musicians, consisting of only the most highly
respected professional string players in
Chicago.
The Amadeus Consort,
also known as The Chicago
String Consort, performs quality string chamber music for both
public and private engagements. Though the full string ensemble is
usually intended for the concert stage, smaller forms of the
ensemble are frequently requested for more intimate concerts,
casual engagements and weddings:

The Amadeus
Consort recaptures the
grand spirit of the classical era. Frequently performing works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and
Franz Joseph Haydn, the ensemble presents an air of the eighteenth
century to any concert, religious service, wedding or corporate
engagement. But, the Amadeus Consort's versatility does not end
with Mozart ! The large repertoire encompasses many styles and
tastes. From the Baroque and Romantic periods to the works of
George Gershwin, the Amadeus Consort can create that excitement
and atmosphere you seek for your next event.

The ensemble was founded in 1989 by
graduates of Northwestern University & the
Juilliard School and has continued to evolve into a highly
respected group of musicians.
When not involved with Amadeus
Consort events, our musicians perform regularly with other well
established orchestras in the area such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Sinfonietta,
Lyric Opera, Chicago Philharmonic, Chicago Chamber Orchestra, Ravinia
Festival Orchestra, the Lake Forest Symphony, Ars Viva and the
