Here is another
sample of the video taken at the 2007 concert appearance of Amadeus
Consort at the Drake. This music is by Benjamin Britten
and is titled "Simple Symphony". It is a charming
and delightful piece, full of youth and vigor - and no one
no one except maybe Britten himself would ever honestly characterize
this piece as "simple".
The entire program for this concert was as follows:
-
Mozart:
Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
-
Vivaldi: Autumn and Spring from "The Four
Seasons"
-
Bach: Double Concerto for 2 Violins
-
Britten: Simple Symphony
The original
concert took place at The Drake Hotel (Gold Coast
Room), 140 E Walton Place, Chicago; on
Thursday March 29, 2007; with Special Guest Concertmaster, Robert Hanford,
Concertmaster of the Lyric Opera.
